The Steve Dale EveryCat Health Foundation Communications Award is open for Nominations

Nominations for the Steve Dale EveryCat Health Foundation Communications Award are open until February 29th, 2024.

The award, named in honor of long time EveryCat Board member Steve Dale, CABC, is presented annually, to recognize a person or group who utilizes various media outlets to educate and inform others about cat health and/or behavior for the purpose of promoting the human-cat bond, and the welfare of cats.

Qualifying media outlets may include, but are not limited to, print or digital local, regional, and national newspapers magazines; print or eBooks, digital/online content, including social media platforms, blogs, or websites; verbal media outlets, such as radio broadcasts, podcasts, and public speaking events, and video platforms such as YouTube and TikTok. Special consideration is given to those who promote cat health studies or results of studies funded by EveryCat health Foundation.

The nominees’ work will be judged by an expert panel based on:
o Quality of the work
o Accuracy of the work
o Types and volume of work
and
o Support of EveryCat Health Foundation and messaging consistent with the EveryCat Health Foundation mission

The award winner agrees to take part in the public announcement of the award, which may involve a press release, participation in a social media “Live,” or, when possible, personal attendance at a scheduled **presentation ceremony.

The winner will also be featured in the EveryCat newsletter, and work may be shared on the EveryCat website. Previous EveryCat Award winners are excluded from entering. There is no fee to enter.

**Plans are being made to present the 2024 Award to the winner at the EveryCat Health Foundation/North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine Feline Health Center Symposium,“Health Breakthroughs for EveryCat: Being PURRfectly Clear on Feline Pain,” April 13th and 14th, 2024 in Raleigh, North Carolina.
