EveryCat Grant Awards
This grant review session is held in March of each year. Selections for general health and stipulated research studies are awarded at this session.
From the beginning, clinical health and disease research has driven EveryCat Health Foundation’s mission to improve the health and welfare of all cats. Year after year, we fund innovative health studies that advance veterinary knowledge and expertise, changing the way feline medicine is practiced. We’re proud to be the world’s only nonprofit foundation committed solely to supporting feline health research.
Our two primary rounds of EveryCat Health Foundation funds are awarded each year: the EveryCat Grant Award and the Miller Trust Awards. Occasionally, we have specially funded grant programs.

In 2002, the George Sydney and Phyllis Redman Miller Trust designated EveryCat Health Foundation, then Winn Feline Foundation, as one of its advisor organizations. EveryCat has subsequently been provided an unprecedented opportunity to make annual recommendations for grant awards to the San Francisco Foundation, trustees of the Miller Trust. The total grant funding varies each year.

The New Investigator Grant Award was created by EveryCat Health Foundation in 2017 to encourage new and innovative researchers with an interest in feline health and medicine to submit grant proposals. In 2023, EveryCat Health Foundation renamed the New Investigator Grant Award in honor of Joan Miller, who passed away on May 16, 2023.
Joan Miller served on the Board of Directors of EveryCat Health Foundation (formerly Winn Feline Foundation) for 20 years. A life-long advocate for cat health and welfare, Ms. Miller supported funding novel research studies that no other granting bodies would fund, often with groundbreaking results. Her commitment to promoting up-and-coming young researchers was crucial in encouraging new investigators into the field of cat health.
