New Study – Molnupiravir as new therapeutic option for relapsed FIP cats

“Unlicensed Molnupiravir is an Effective Rescue Treatment Following Failure of Unlicensed GS-441524-like Therapy for Cats with Suspected FIP” – Study authors Megan Roy, Nicole Jacque, Wendy Novicoff, Emma Li, Rosa Negash and Samantha Evans collected information from cat owners around the world. Based on their data and findings, they concluded that unlicensed molnupiravir appears to be an effective treatment for suspected FIP both as a first-line therapy and as a rescue therapy.

“Although unconventional and potentially unlawful, the experiences of these owners in treating and apparently curing cats of FIP is undeniably remarkable, and there is much we can learn from the experiments being conducted by these “citizen scientists.”
