The American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) and EveryCat Health Foundation Scholarship

Applications will open for the 2024 AAFP/EveryCat Health Foundation Scholarships in January of 2024

Since 2016, EveryCat Health Foundation (EveryCat) and the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) have partnered annually to provide two scholarships for 3rd or 4th-year veterinary students enrolled in an accredited veterinary college or school in the United States or Canada. The two $2,500 awards are based upon academic achievement, financial need, leadership, and dedication to and excellence in the study of feline medicine, health, and welfare. One $2,500 scholarship is awarded to a veterinary student with a feline practice interest and the second $2,500 scholarship to a veterinary student with a clinical scientific research interest. Students may apply once annually.

In addition to a short application form, interested students are required to answer two essay questions, explaining his/her specific interest and background in feline health and welfare, and to describe plans for future participation in feline medicine. All applications are reviewed, selected, and approved by the AAFP and EveryCat.

Scholarship Application form will be available HERE.

Deadline for applications is mid-March, 2024. All applications and supporting documents must be received by the deadline for consideration.

Recipients are notified of the awards on or before April 15th.

Congratulations to the 2023 Scholarship winners. Hailey Davis, Colorado State University, received the Clinical Research Scholarship award and Emma Li, The Ohio State University, received the Clinical Practice Scholarship award.
