Celebrate National Veterinary Technician Week with us!
Join us for “Designing a Cat-Centric Veterinary Experience,” a webinar with Caitlin Dutcher-Lundy, BS, RVT, VTS (Clinical Practice-Feline) on October 20, 2026 at 7:00 pm EDT.
Cats are uniquely sensitive to their environment, and the design of the veterinary experience plays a critical role in reducing stress, improving compliance, and strengthening the caregiver bond. This presentation explores evidence-based strategies to create Cat Friendly practices, incorporating both environmental modifications and team training. Participants will learn how certifications such as Cat Friendly Practice, Fear Free, and Low Stress Handling empower veterinary professionals and enhance patient care. The session highlights the “Five Pillars” of feline-friendly environments and respect for feline sensory perception. Practical applications are shared for lobbies, exam rooms, and hospitalization areas, including pheromone use, music, lighting, carrier etiquette, and resource separation. By adopting these strategies, veterinary teams can decrease feline stress, improve patient cooperation, reduce workplace injuries, and ultimately elevate the standard of care for cats and their caregivers.
