EveryCat Health Foundation is a registered non-profit under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code. Contributions are tax-deductible as allowed by law and support our mission to advance groundbreaking research and education that benefits every cat, every day. Founded in 1968 by the Cat Fanciers’ Association (CFA) as Winn Feline Foundation, a nonprofit foundation named in honor of CFA’s longtime attorney and advisor, Robert H. Winn, this entity established a funding source for feline medical research and education to improve the health and welfare of cats. Since then, we’ve became a valued and trusted member of the feline health community.
In 2021, we changed our name to EveryCat Health Foundation to better reflect our goal of benefiting every cat, every day. Dedicated donors have helped EveryCat fund millions in health research for cats at partner institutions worldwide. Just as we’ve grown, so has feline medicine. Year after year, we look forward to playing a significant role in the many feline health achievements to come.
Every dollar we award goes directly toward research for general health studies, specific research areas, or breed-related health studies. Our grant funding is not subject to the indirect costs or “overhead” commonly applied to research grants awarded to universities.
