Grayson, Our Big Brave Boy
Grayson was funny, loving, calm, completely himself — and somehow made every person and animal he met feel special. He showed up exactly as he was. Tongue out. Toothless. Sometimes ridiculous. Completely lovable. And he inspired me to do the same.
He made people feel safe. He made animals feel safe. He made us feel loved. And he showed me what it looks like to move through this world without worrying about being perfect.
I’ll miss his gravelly little voice, the paw to my face in the morning, his cuddles and kisses, his soaked mousey and, of course, that ridiculous tongue.

Smokey was one of the first cats to survive FIP, thanks to a revolutionary clinical trial at UC Davis in 2016. His legacy continues to help save thousands of cats around the world. During his extraordinary 10-year life, he was also an FIC survivor and a courageous cancer fighter. He loved wearing hats and clothes, running on his wheel, and ringing a bell for treats. He was truly one of a kind. Smokey will remain in our hearts forever.

Max showed up on our deck in November 2012. We could not believe such a handsome guy was out on his own. He was a gentleman and got along well through the years with his cat & dog siblings. We all miss him dearly and pray that CKD is someday curable so that no feline has to suffer this terrible disease.
